Why Skin Care is important?
Skin has many functions, making it the ultimate Multitasker of the human body.
Dead skin gradually peels off depending upon the strength of the Chemical Peel used and the condition of your skin, over a period of two to eight days.
- Skin is the first line of defense between our body and the outside world, protecting us from bacteria, viruses, and pollution and chemical substances that we encounter in the workplace and at home.
- Skin regulates body temperature, maintains fluid balance, and controls moisture loss.
- Skin also acts as a barrier and Shock Absorber, recognizing pain sensations to alert us to danger.
- The Skin protects us against the harmful Ultraviolet (UV) rays from Sun.
Skin Care
Maintaining or maximizing the health and beauty of skin is possible for anyone. Skin is remarkably renewable and resilient and despite your age, genetics, skin disease, or amount of sun damage, with a well-designed skin care program, some degree of improvement is always possible.
Dehydrated skin will look older, duller and less elastic than skin that gets enough hydration. Well-hydrated skin will be smooth, dewy and supple. By not drinking enough water we cause our skin to lose elasticity, to crepe and eventually form deep wrinkles.
At ADORN, we offer Best Skin Treatment in Ahmedabad.
- Cleansing: Clean your face no more than twice a day or just once, if you have dry skin and don’t wear makeup. Avoid washing for that squeaky-clean feel because that means your skin’s natural oils are gone.
- Serums: A serum with growth factors or vitamin C - peptides would be better in the morning, under sunscreen. At night, Retinol / prescription Retinoids work best.
- Moisturizer: Even oily skin needs moisturizer, but it should be lightweight, gel-based, and non-comedogenic, or doesn’t block your pores. Dry skin may benefit from Cream-based moisturizers. Most brands will label their products as gel or cream on their packaging.
- Sunscreen: Apply sunscreen with at least 30 SPF 15-20 minutes before heading outdoors, as it takes some time for the sunscreen to activate. Darker skin tones need more sun protection as Hyperpigmentation is harder to correct.
